Lighthouse Dance Companies
Lighthouse Dance Companies are for dancers who desire to use their gift of dance to reach the world and to set an example in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity. Our Company dancers are committed to growing in excellence through hard work and dedication. They have a heart for unity and teamwork. They are passionate about dance and love to serve others with their gift of dance through missions and outreach. Lighthouse company dancers consider dance to be a primary passion in their lives and a place where they find community and purpose. Company coaches are committed to discipling, praying for, and encouraging the dancers in their care.
Our companies perform at various venues such as special events, churches, schools, nursing homes, community festivals, and dance mission and outreach trips. Company dancers make up the core cast for our “Nativity”. Companies perform and create their own choreography in our annual “Shine” Student Showcase and other creative productions.
Each company rehearses for 60 to 120 minutes each week. In addition to learning and rehearsing dances, company members will grow in their relationship with each other, and be encouraged and mentored by their coaches.

Advanced ballet, lyrical, contemporary, and jazz performing company.
Sails Dance Company
Advanced ballet, lyrical, and contemporary, and jazz performing company for dancers in ballet 4 and 5.
Anchor Dance Company
Intermediate ballet, lyrical, and contemporary performing company for dancers in ballet 3,4,and 5.
Beacon Dance Company
Beginning to Intermediate ballet and lyrical performing company for dancers in ballet 2 and 3..
S.O.S Hip Hop Crew and Compass Hip Hop Crew
Intermediate to advanced hip hop performing company for dancers in a hip hop level 2 and up.
COMPANY REQUIREMENTS
Tides Company Requirements
Members are required to take Tides company class, Advanced Adult Jazz, Advanced Adult Ballet or Ballet 5. Apprentices are requeired to take one or more additional technique classes of choice . Dancers must exemplify integrity, hard work, respect, and kindness towards others in and outside of Lighthouse Dance. Dancers must be committed to class attendance and company performances. Dancers are required to attend the summer ballet intensive, and the company intensive.
Sails Company Requirements
Members are required to take two ballet classes, one jazz class, and contemporary 4/5 in addition to their company class each week. Dancers must exemplify integrity, hard work, respect, and kindness towards others in and outside of Lighthouse Dance. Company dancers must audition, fill out a written application form, and provide one non-family member letter of recommendation. Dancers must be committed to class attendance and company performances. Dancers must be at a Ballet 4 Level. Dancers are required to attend two summer dance workshops, the summer ballet intensive, and the company intensive.
Anchor Company Requirements
Members are required to take a minimum of one ballet class, one jazz class and one elective class of their choice in addition to their company class each week. Dancers must exemplify integrity, hard work, respect, and kindness towards others in and outside of Lighthouse Dance. Company dancers must audition, fill out a written application form, and provide one non-family member letter of recommendation. Dancers must be committed to class attendance and company performances. Dancers must be at a Ballet 3 Level. Dancers are required to attend two summer dance workshops, and the company intensive.
Beacon Company Requirements
Members are required to take a minimum of one ballet class, and one jazz class in addition to their company class each week. Dancers must exemplify integrity, hard work, respect, and kindness towards others in and outside of Lighthouse Dance. Company dancers must audition, fill out a written application form, and provide one non-family member letter of recommendation. Dancers must be committed to class attendance and company performances. Dancers must be at a Ballet 2 level. Dancers are required to attend the summer company intensive. Summer dance camp highly recommended.
S.O.S and Compass Hip Hop Crew Requirements
Members are required to take a minimum of two technique classes a week in addition to their company class, with Hip Hop being one of those classes. Dancers must exemplify integrity, hard work, respect, and kindness towards others in and outside of Lighthouse Dance. Company dancers must audition, fill out a written application form, and provide one non-family member letter of recommendation. Dancers must be committed to class attendance and company performances. Dancers must be at a Hip Hop 2 Level. Dancers are required to attend the summer hip hop workshop and company intensive.
All companies must participate in the summer company intensive where dancers will team build, learn choreography, work on technique, performance skills including hair, make-up, and proper nutrition to fuel their body in dance.
Cost
Cost–
Costume Fee: $125 Includes rental of Lighthouse company skirt, a new dance costume, a company shirt, accessories, and any other costume pieces needed for the year.
Company Jacket: $85*
Tides, Anchor & Sails Dance Socks: Flesh Toned, no grip, $17-$35
Black Dance Sneakers: Typically around $40-$60 new*
Ballet & Jazz Shoes*
Workshops $35 (Anchor and Sails are required to attend two summer workshops or take summer classes) (Compass is required to attend the hip hop workshop)
Summer Dance Camp – July 13th-16th – $210
Summer Ballet Intensive – July 24th and 25th – $160
Company Intensive – Friday, August 7th 10:00am -7:00pm – $75
Outreach Trips (optional)
*These are new company member fees. Anytime a dancer is new to a company, the * items will be an upfront cost. Those in the same companies will not be required to purchase these items again unless needed.
All dancers for the 2026/2027 dance season will be required to purchase all items on the above list.
COMPANY AUDITIONS
Lighthouse Company auditions take place once a year. Dancers are judged based on technique, facial expression, neatness of appearance, conduct, and overall performance. We also take into consideration each dancer’s written application form and letter of recommendation. Company members and those auditioning will receive a company handbook with all of our company requirements details.

2026–2027 Company Auditions
Dancers in Groups #2, #3, and #4 will be auditioning for placement in our Beacon, Anchor, Sails, and Tides Companies.
Class placements listed below reflect 2026–2027 season levels and will be available on dancer studio pro accounts by April 23rd.

*Dancers auditioning in ballet auditions, need to wear ballet class attire for their audition.
*Dancers auditioning for SOS and Compass need to wear hip hop class attire for their audition.
*Dancers who have already been a part of a Lighthouse Dance Company do not need to provide a new letter of recommendation.
